          According to Tokyo News agency dispatch on July 15, 2006, a tank ship of Japan may be leak about 4500 ton base oil after it bumps with a cargo ship around the Nicobar Islands of Indian Ocean’s east.

          According to Japan News agency dispatch on today, the tank ship leaked about 4 million and 9 hundred and thousand kilolitres base oil and maybe is most scale accident of tank ship leaks oil in Japan. The tank ship of O.S.K shipping company publishes statement, “After the tank ship bumps a small cargo ship, and then the leak oil accident happened.” It said, “The tank ship want to near the cargo ship that calls “A MA ER” and the cargo ship at about 500 kilometers of Nicobar Islands’s west.” Actual leak oil amount is not clear. Then the tank ship was loading two hundred and fifty thousand ton base oil. It was leaving the A MAN port and go to Japan. Presently, it hasn’t injured report of people about tank ship and the “A MA ER” cargo ship. The tank ship has a captain of Kroatien and 23 seamen. The “A MA ER” cargo ship was registered in Singapore.
